Effective July 1, 2008, the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology will become a Bureau. Although part of our name will change, the services we provide applicants, licensees, and consumers will continue. There will be a few internal changes but will not impact the public. The nine Board members have been asked to continue on the Bureau’s advisory committee and a public meeting will be scheduled sometime in the fall. We anticipate this transition to be smooth and without any interruption to the public.
