The renewal hotline and website are both up and running. Take advantage of renewing your license online early and avoid the hassle of waiting until the end year during the busy holiday season. Remember license renewal can only be done via the online site or in person at the Board office.
If you cannot pay online you must come in person to the Board office located at: 1929 Gateway Circle, Grove City, Ohio 43123
Renew prior to Jan. 31, 2011 to avoid late fees.
If you moved and did not notify the Board directly with your change of address use one of the options listed below to update your information. It is important to remember that submitting a change of address form to the United States Postal Service (USPS) will only stay in place approximately 30-60 days and the USPS does not notify the Board of these changes. After that period, most mail is returned to sender. Many licensees learned this the hard way during the last renewal when they did not receive their renewal information or even their license.
Choose the best way for you to update your address with the Board:

This portion of the license contains the User ID and Password information. It is important to retain this information for future reference.
This card is intended to be a convenient way to verify your licensure with supply houses, CE providers and other vendors. It is also a handy reference guide for Board contact information.
This card will be located in the upper right hand corner of license. Please remember this card is not an official license, and cannot be used for the purpose of working.
Watch your mail… this flyer contains important information for the renewal process. The User ID and Password needed for online renewal is included in this flyer.
As both a father and as one of Ohio’s top law enforcement officials, I understand that while technology provides us with many resources for finding and sharing information and staying in touch with friends, too often it is used by those with dangerous or unseemly intentions. Ohio’s young people need support and guidance from us to help them steer clear of the bad guys and use the Internet, online video games and cell phones safely and wisely.
In honor of Ohio’s first Cyber Safety Week – October 3-9 – my office will be crossing the state speaking to student assemblies, parents and law enforcement officers about how they can promote safe Internet usage. If you or someone you know would like more information about the presentations, please visit www.OhioAttorneyGeneral.gov/CyberSafetyWeek.
I’d like to encourage you to discuss online safety issues with the kids you care about. My office offers many publications and online resources for adults to help start the conversation including:
• Kids Safety Passport – Our most popular publication, the passport is a pocket-sized workbook for parents and kids that includes space for fingerprints, dental records and social media passwords. This is an invaluable resource for law enforcement in the unfortunate event that a child goes missing.
• Stay Cyber Safe Brochure – Includes tips for parents on setting rules for technology use at home.
• Keep Kids Safe Online Bookmark – An abbreviated version of the Stay Cyber Safe Brochure.
• Online Safety Bookmark – Provides tips for online safety for kids and teens.
• Avoid Cyber Bullying Bookmark – Provides tips for kids and teens for dealing with inappropriate or threatening e-mails or text messages.
Visit www.OhioAttorneyGeneral.gov/ Publications for a complete listing of publications or to view them online. Place an order for hard copies any of our publications by calling the Ohio Attorney General’s Help Center at (800) 282-0515.
I hope you can help us observe Cyber Safety Week by sharing these important messages within your home and community. Together, we can help Ohioans understand that technology can and should be a powerful force for good.
