The business is beauty at the Cocoanut Grove in Santa Cruz during the Central Coast Hair Design and Beauty Expo 2009 on Sunday, Oct. 11. This 15th annual event brings hair salon, nail, beauty, and skin professionals together for a day of education, information, and entertainment.
“Our unique venue next to the Monterey Bay is a perfect location for showcasing hair and beauty,” said Expo Director Gary Green. “We have spacious, ocean-view rooms that still allow intimate interaction between the many different professionals involved in the beauty industry.”
The Hair Design and Beauty Expo is open to industry professionals only and features international platform artists, hair cutting specialists, product purveyors, and service providers. Featured platform artists include Gary Gerard of the Gerard International Advance Haircutting Center in San Francisco; Nicolas of Nicolas Studio in San Francisco; Gino Martino, Creative Director of Retrohair; Jessee Skittrall, International Color Artist for Kadus; Madrid Johnson; Steven Statland; Brian Bode; Andre Nizetich, founder of the American Board of Certified Haircolorists; Marc Reid, Scruples platform artist and color specialist; Michael Adams; and a stage presentation from Keratin Complex Hair Therapy by Coppola.
